Magnoliachat Cattery

I have always loved cats.  Starting out with two beautiful Siamese years ago as pets, the look of the Siamese has always appealed to me.   When one of the Siamese passed away (I still have my 17 year old male), I started looking at some other breeds.  I found a great reputable Sphynx breeder and purchased one of pet quality and one retired show quality Sphynx.  This hairless breed was absolutely wonderful and I still own two of them (a neutered male and spayed female).  One day when surfing the internet, I came across a wonderful breed called the Peterbald.  This breed took the qualities that I loved most from the Siamese and the hairlessness of the Sphynx and combined them into my perfect cat.  I fell in love immediately.

Thanks to WavorgoNaked for Fanya and Lila, in 2001, I had enough cats to call myself a cattery.  My original three cats were Fanya, Lila, and Tigger.

Fanya is originally from Russia.  She is an absolutely beautiful chocolate point female.  To me, she is the perfect example of the breed.  Fanya owns the home.  She is the boss and everyone knows that you do not say no when Fanya wants something.

Lila is a straight coated lilac pointed female.   The straight coat does naturally occur in the breed still.  These cats can be used in a good breeding program.  Lila looks like a good quality Siamese.  She carries the hairless gene and will be bred in the future to a hairless male.  Lila is the sweet one.  She loves everybody and everything.

Tigger was the first males at Magnoliachat.  He is absolutely beautiful.  Tigger came to live here from Bemisu Cattery.  He is a spotted tabby type cat.  This makes for a wild beautiful appearance due to being hairless.

The first two kittens were born on October 2, 2001.  Ayana and Essence left Magnoliachat on December 1, 2001 to go live at Bemisu Cattery.

I have had many more kittens since this time, but continue to raise them under foot in the house.  All kittens from Magnoliachat are healthy, happy, and very well socialized.

Being in love with the oriental breeds, I have added some beautiful Oriental Shorthairs to my program.  They are part of the Peterbald breeding program and I have some Oriental Shorthair kittens from time to time, as well.

I have an open door policy and love for people to come see all the beautiful Peterbalds that now live here.  They all love company and will welcome you with open paws.
