Well, no one can say that I have stayed away from controversy.  The Bramble is a new breed of cat that is now accepted in TICA in the "Experiemental Breed" class.  That means that they can not be shown to championship status yet.  The next step will be the "New Breed" status.  I will need to find more breeders for that to happen and am willing to mentor people for this task (and give great deals to appropriate homes).  We need numbers, but not at the risk of being careless.

This cat is astounding.  I took one type of wire coat from the Peterbald and crossed it with the Bengal.  Captain Smith (on the picture page) was the result.  I knew I had something very special.  The rest is history now.

The breed holds true to some of its wild nature (coming from the Bengal and Savannah now).  It has the heart of a wildcat and it shows - loves water, loves to hunt (even play things in the house) and loves to sit beside you when tired.

This is not a cuddle baby.  These cats are much more like dogs.  They come when they are called, learn to fetch easily, learn the leash easily, and would rather sit beside you than on you.  They are a cat to be admired and astonished by.

Remember, though, this is a high energy cat.  This is not like a domestic that sleeps alot.  This cat loves to follow you around and see whatever you are doing - and help, if it possibly can.  ;-)  Just watch out for the shower.  I have had more than one jump in and splash around.

Also, this is a non-shedding cat.  Much easier to take care of.  There are no special precautions in the care of the Bramble.  I just check the ears and teeth from time to time to make sure they are clean.  Other than that, a quick clip of the toenails and they are in action again.

Remember, though, HIGH ENERGY.  A blast to watch.  They will even play tug-0-war with you.  A large breed and a protective breed, but not an ounce of danger in its body.  This cat makes friends easily and you don't have to worry about the wild factor being a problem when people come over.  The Bramble will walk around, talk to a few guests, play some games, and not be in laps.  Like a dog in so many ways.

Please let me know if this cat interests you.  There is not another cat anywhere that can stop people in the street to stare, if they see you walking one on a leash.  Truly a star with a wild animal look, but a heart of gold.
